Beneficial Garden Creatures.
- We
don't often get Rainbow Lorikeets in my garden, but when the bottlebrush are in
bloom they descend on us in a small noisy cloud, and we enjoy their
energetic aerobatics for several days. They are our most glamorous
pollinators, and although their benefits to us are more aesthetic than
practical, my wife and I love them.
- Its
hard to love the creatures at the other end of the spectrum of
beneficial creatures in my garden, the micro-organisms. But they are
nonetheless vital to the wellbeing of my plants and I spend a good deal
of time nurturing them.
- The
links below take you to the pages on my blog covering some of the beneficial
creatures I rely upon and the reasons for that dependence.
