When you see 2 Harlequin Beatles cosying up like this it means trouble. I try to catch them in early spring before they can take a hold.
I have a number of weapons in my pest mitigation armoury including exclusion (netting and copper tape), biological ( Bacillus Thuringiensis) and asphyxiation (organic horticultural oil), but if you can get your garden in balance with nature, it will do the job for you.
